YUANA: A fully equipped bluewater cruiser ready to go!

YUANA’s Story:

YUANA had a relatively quiet time until we bought her mid 2015. She just turned 16 years of age and was by far the best available HR39 Mkii in Europe by then, with 10‘000 nautical miles and 1'200 motor hours only. For approximately half of her life time, she was in dry winter storage. When she was in water, then it was fresh water for the majority of the time.

This explained her stunning appearance of the cabins, out in the cockpit and all around the beautifully kept teak deck. The good state of maintenance rounded the great appearance, and so we bought her immediately.

We continued the inside winter storage approach and kept her being maintained by the same shipyard. At the same time, we started to make a true blue water sailing yacht out of her which can be operated without marina visits for several weeks if not month. An extensive upgrade during 2016/17 included replacement of all navigation electronics with the latest products from Raymarine, topped with state of the art active AIS. A water maker came in, and the energy balance asked for a second alternator and solar power. See the specs for details.

In July 2017 we finally set sails from the Netherlands, heading for the Caribbean. From there, we returned to Europe in July 2018. The maintenance schedule was certainly kept underway and so we can now proudly sell an excellent blue water sailing yacht in a pretty appealing condition.

The story of YUANA comes out of our best knowledge and partially bases on information received from the previous owner.


Yuana is a premium center cockpit yacht from well-known yard Hallberg-Rassy. Furling in/out and reefing of the main sail and working jib / genoa are doable from the cockpit. The in-mast furling main sail is even electrically powered. Within 19 years, Yuana has sailed 22’000 miles. Yuana is optically and technically in an exceptional shape.
