4. The purposes of data processing

At Boot24, people interested in buying can find a selection of used and new boats that sellers have entered as objects of enquiry. In the case of enquiry objects, the non-binding enquiry is forwarded to the Seller, who independently organises the viewing and sale. Boot24 is in no way a party to the subsequent purchase contract, rather the customer (Seller) has only a service contract with Boot24 for the presentation of his boat on Boot24.com According to the DSGVO, personal data may be processed in particular on the basis of a contract or for the purpose of implementing pre-contractual measures, if consent has been given, on the basis of a legitimate interest or a law, and for the protection of vital or public interests. It is very important to us that communication between seller and buyer of a boat is smooth. You have the possibility to contact the seller of a boat via an e-mail enquiry form. In order to guarantee the security of the communication, the communication takes place via the Boot24 servers in encrypted form. The enquiry is only visible to the specific Seller with whom the enquiry was made. Should it be necessary for individual functions or the like that we collect, store and use personal data only to the extent necessary for the provision of individual services or the execution of the contract. In these cases, you will be informed at a suitable point and your express consent will be requested. Your data will be deleted after completion of the contract and after expiry of the periods stipulated by tax and commercial law, unless you have consented to storage and use beyond this. When you visit our website, information on your use of the website is stored in a log file to optimise our offer. The storage is made anonymous, so that no conclusions can be drawn about a specific person. We store: Your IP address, the date and time of the page call, the page called up, the amount of data transferred, and whether the access was successful. We use these data exclusively for statistical evaluation and improvement of our offer. A commercial use does not take place. Likewise, the data is not stored permanently. You have the possibility to object to the collection of this data at any time.

5. Data transfer

When sending an inquiry we pass on all data entered by the user to the boat seller. We work together with payment service providers. Depending on which payment method (direct debit, credit card, Paypal) the seller selects in the ordering process, we pass on the data necessary for the payment processing to the service provider. In some cases, the payment service providers also collect this data themselves if you have an account there. In this case, you must log in directly to the payment service provider during the ordering process with your access data. In this case the data protection declaration of the payment service provider applies. We publish private advertisements at Skipper Bootshandel Online and in Skipper Bootshandel Magazin. The online offer is integrated via iFrame. Your advertisement will appear in Skipper's online offer identical to the one on our site. In order to enable potential buyers to contact us via the magazine, the telephone number and/or e-mail address will be passed on. No further personal data will be transmitted. If the visitor to the site sends an inquiry to a seller and would like to receive a non-binding insurance offer for the boat inquired about, we pass on his e-mail address to Pantaenius GmbH as well as the boat data (category and price). This requires the express consent of the visitor to the site. If this is not done, no data will be passed on. Pantaenius GmbH uses the e-mail address exclusively for the non-binding insurance offer.
